A construction site is a highly dangerous location, from heavy loads being lifted hundreds of feet in the air to potentially falling debris and materials that could easily kill someone.
This is why the Department of Buildings in NYC has a requirement that construction workers and supervisors have training that covers a lot of different scenarios related to construction sites and safely working on them.
These requirements also state that refresher courses are needed periodically in order to maintain that certification.
At a minimum construction workers with NYC SST training are required to update this training with a refresher course every 5 years. Our online 8 hour refresher course qualifies for this requirement and includes information on fall prevention as well as scaffolding use. For the NYC SST supervisors, they have an 8 hour refresher course as well that pertains to their supervisory role on the construction site.
For years any of these training courses or refresher courses needed to be in a classroom setting. Today these same informational courses are now approved to be done completely online, at the most convenient times for those taking the courses.
This allows people to complete the courses at their own pace and adjust their schedules, not to mention the savings in travel to and from the classrooms that were used before.
Because the information is so important, NYC SST 8-hour refresher courses are designed to help reinforce the most critical pieces of safety, both for workers and supervisors. At OSHA Pros, we are proud to not only help keep people safe with this information but also deliver these courses and other courses as effectively and efficiently as possible for those in NYC, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or the surrounding areas.

Supervisors and workers are required to have additional trainings beyond the OSHA 30 card requirements. Supervisors will need either the 32, 22, or 16 hour courses that go beyond the OSHA 30 card. Workers and new entrants will need the 10 hour course that goes beyond the OSHA 30 card. And we also have the 16 individual courses for those needing or wanting training on specific areas.
