Our sit down forklift certification course covers everything you need to safely and efficiently operate a sit down powered industrial truck. You will learn the basics of forklift anatomy, safe driving practices, and how to prevent common hazards in the workplace.
A sit down forklift is one of the most common pieces of equipment you will see in a warehouse or distribution center. Operators remain seated while driving, which can feel a little like operating a small vehicle. Because of that, sit down forklifts are often easier to control for longer shifts and are well suited to moving heavy loads across wider spaces.
However, with that comfort comes risk. Sit down forklifts have a higher center of gravity, which means they can be more prone to tip-overs if not operated correctly. Without proper training, accidents involving sit down forklifts can cause injuries, damaged goods, and serious safety violations.
