How often should fall protection training be completed?
As a general rule, OSHA fall protection training certification should be completed every two years. Once an OSHA fall protection certification has been given OSHA considers trainees competent, unless he/she demonstrates incompetence. Employers also have the option to shorten or lengthen OSHA fall protection instruction according to their preferences.
Does OSHA 30 include fall protection?
According to Laborer’s Health & Safety Fund: “The optional topics for Construction and General Industry courses increased by one hour for both the 10 and 30-hour courses. Fall Protection is now required to last 90 minutes instead of 75 minutes in construction courses.”
Which section of the EM 385-1-1 outlines the fall protection requirements?
Section 21. This document states: “The requirements of this Section are applicable to all Government and C work forces when their employees are working at heights, exposed to fall hazards and/or using fall protection equipment.
